my thots, others thots, lots and lots of thots

"Power is the capacity to change things and hope is belief in this idea whether its you or a higher form, Fear is bad because its a negative factor that causes a distortion in assessing how much agency/power you have in any situation which can lead to an underestimation in power and a lack of hope. Self doubt in the face of uncertainty is an act of pride. You've realized in the moment you do not possess the capacity to change things and in a desperate attempt to retain power you tell yourself it's impossible to avoid sitting in uncertainty . You should have hope in the face of uncertainity because it grounds you in belief that it's temporary, You have the capacity for power you just don't have it at the moment. Hope has always been about potential."

"Love (noun) is capacity or potential to connect and transform,it shapes how we interact with the world . It can transform our relationships, perceptions and emotions. Love (verb) is the active expression of love(noun) through action. Love (noun), the capacity to connect and/or transform, always exists even in the face of uncertainty. Even in the face of uncertainty, you still have the choice to act with love(verb). If you let in fear when assessing love you’re vulnerable to distorted results. Fear can lead to avoiding vulnerability because of the emotional risk that comes with love."

"Each successive year becomes a smaller fraction of your life (ex: At 5 a year is 20% of your life and at 30 a year is only 3%). When you’re young you’re exposed to a lot of things for the first time vs the routine experiences of adulthood thus explaining why our earlier childhood memories are far more dense than adult ones. The key to make life feel richer and expansive is to source your own novelty. True youthfulness is about your relationship with time."

"The way you use dress is a non-verbal language system that uses the body and clothing choice to send messages about your identity, social standing and/or values. The system can be seen as the interplay between how individuals want to be seen and how they see themselves."

"Clothing choices are a choice between your biological (protection from elements) and social (help fit into or stand out from specific groups or cultures) needs."

"What gives things their value is the invisible bonds that build in our relationships with them. What makes people unique is invisible, therefore one must learn to see with the heart not the eyes. That is why the prince’s rose , from “the little prince”, matters to him in a world full of roses. Relationships also transform how we see the world. The adult sees the star and laughs because he remembers the little prince , this would make no sense to someone who cannot see the bonds. You can also associate things with the best relationships you have with people. The world becomes rich through connection with others."

“The Head that hangs , falls.”
- Alexander Dumas, Count of Monte Cristo

"I'm an eye. A mechanical eye. I, the machine, show you a world the way only I can see it. I free myself for today and forever from human immobility. I'm in constant movement. I approach and pull away from objects. I creep under them. I move alongside a running horse's mouth. I fall and rise with the falling and rising bodies. This is I, the machine, manoeuvring in the chaotic movements, recording one movement after another in the most complex combinations. Freed from the boundaries of time and space, I co-ordinate any and all points of the universe, wherever I want them to be. My way leads towards the creation of a fresh perception of the world. Thus I explain in a new way the world unknown to you." - Dziga Vertov

"EVEN as the sun with purple-colour'd face Had ta'en his last leave of the weeping morn, Rose-cheek'd Adonis tried him to the chase; Hunting he lov'd, but love he laugh'd to scorn;" - William Shakespeare, Venus and Adonis

"devotion is ambition with expectations" - Alexander Dumas, Count of Monte Cristo
